| Well, shit, Blizz completely destroyed the first 30 points of Discipline. There's really no point (ho ho!) in putting in anymore than maybe 15 if you're mainly Holy. I will say though that anything -past- 30 points in Discpline looks very nice. Also some awesome adds to holy. Guardian Spirit could definitely be used as a, "Shit, you're just DPS. I don't want to heal you, but I don't want you to die" kind of thing. I love DPSers, by the way. >.>
Someone check me on this, but it sounds like the definition of Spirit Tap changed. You no longer need to get the last point of damage on the kill to receive the buff. If that's the case, I'm moving my points from Discpline to Shadow.
And...
Arms = BLADES OF LIGHT. | |

| As I'm sure most people know, the official WoW website has its own WotLK talent calculators now as well, which includes all classes.
As for Warrior talents, I don't really agree with the seeming trend to homogenize the trees to all become viable for anything (more or less). The approach of arms=pvp, fury=pve dps, prot=pve tanking was just fine (especially if the talks of allowing easy swapping between 2 specs comes to fruition). I would be an unhappy Fury warrior if Arms were able to match me in raids (like I'm unhappy about the 'Blood Frenzy' talent, and Arms stealing Deathwish for a time). Diversity is fine, and I encourage people should be allowed to play how they want, but there should still be clear distinction on which spec is best in each category of play.
edit: I really hope Heroic Leap cooldown is reduced - it'd be fun jumping around!

| Vigilance is the worst kind of bullshit imaginable for Protection's 31pt talent. There's some word on EJ and Tankspot of Tigole saying it would be replaced, so I hope that pans out.
WTB 31pt talent that makes me better at tanking, instead of applying a (small) raid utility buff to a DPS.

| What do you think of the 51 point prot talent Shockwave, oh boney meatshield? I don't have access to any talent calculators at work, so I don't remember its cooldown or of it does damage, only that it's an AoE stun that causes threat. | |

| Shockwave, like the Bloodbath spell and Incite talent, seems primarily intended to make Warrior 5man tanking close to as mindless as Protadin tanking. Unlike Vigilance, Incite and Shockwave seem to do so in ways that is also pretty useful in raids - and Shockwave looks like a lot of fun, too.
As long as its threat-per-damage is relatively high, Shockwave could well be an ability to use on every CD for boss TPS, much like Concussion Blow seems it will be.

| New patch today, talents updated at www.mmo-champion.comDunno if they've been updated other places as well. No warrior changes, some things moved around or changed in DK's, didn't check anybody else. | |

| People are still getting 8k-9k JoC crits. lulz.
The new Paladin Evocation ability looks pretty awesome. No more mana problems for any spec.

| Not sure if it'd go in here or in the other thread, but this quote made me happy: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=8557209717&pageNo=1&sid=2000#9 - Quote :
- This issue (who gets into the raids?) is something we are spending a lot of time on right now. Blood Frenzy is the kind of talent that could definitely present a problem if it means Arms warriors are really valuable for their debuff potential and Fury warriors have to compete for raid slots mostly on the merit of their dps. At least Fury still has PvP... oh, wait....
It may be that any class having to earn a raid spot just because it's an awesome class is kind of a tired notion. In an ideal world, everyone brings something to a group, yet a group has a few options for which class and spec it will bring to fill a role. Ideally, stacking more than 1 (maybe 2) of any spec wouldn't bring a lot of additional benefit. I don't think anyone wants to see raids with 4 resto shammies and 3 shadow priests (except maybe the shammies and shadow priests, but you get my drift).
TLDR: Class design isn't done. We are shooting for more parity. Nobody should get a raid spot because their one talent brings a huge dps (or mana or healing or health) benefit to the raid that no other spec can provide.

| If Blacksmithing and Mining make it to live in their current forms, Agrivain will be a Miner/Blacksmith in WotLK.
My Paladin will be my motorcycle character.

| New set of Blue comments, including a decent reply pertaining to DPS warriors, quoted at mmo-champion. Seems we aren't going to see a change in any of the mechanics (pertaining to DPS anyway, may still be some hope for vigilance), but they're still workin on the numbers. | |

| http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=13480.0I am so, incredibly, fantasticly, super-happy bout the Fury War changes: -Rampage is no longer a buton that consumes rage and a global cooldown, AND IS A RAID WIDE BUFF! -Titan Grip only 1 talent point (51 point talent) and no swing speed pentalty! -Enrage no longer needed for Flurry!!!! (also, note that the tooltip for 2h weapon specialization has been clarified to indicate it does work for dual wielding 2h weapons) I'm sorry you haven't gotten your Vigilance change, protection spec'd undead, but I'm too happy about Fury to care at the moment. Enjoy your Imp Slam, Chrolle! | |

| I was toying around with the calculator and came up with an idea for a hybrid leveling/tanking spec. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warrior/talents2.html?tal=35003301230025100003012000000000000000000000000000000000020335130500001235013000000Mortal Strike Prot! Note that with Unrelenting Assault in its current form, Revenge will be on a two second cooldown and have a 50% stun chance... And they just changed it to scale with attack power. MS + Shield Slam will be a huge amount of burst threat. While I'll be tempted to try out Shockwave while leveling, this spec offers a lot for tanking and soloing both. (Incidentally, with Poleaxe spec and Incite, I'll have +20% to my Cleave and Heroic Strike crits... With Sweeping Strikes, that's a shitton of AoE threat even without the lovely new 51pt Prot talent). | |
