Collegebound

It's still a while away, but while I'm here, I might as well state it out.

I begin my Freshmen Year of College at Susquehanna University, PA August 21 this year.
That's pretty exciting to me.
At the same time, It's going to be quite the adjustment too, as I'll be handling college courses and a job at the same time. After the 21, I can't really commit to anything in the guild until I get into the swing of things and see if there even is a time with which I can commit.

So, until that third week of August or so, I should be largely good for raid participation. I missed out on snagging a summer job this year so aside from the odd outing with friends or family, I'll be good to go. After the 21 though, I can't promise to so much as long on, you know?

Hopefully that won't be to much of a problem. As far as offtanks go We've got Caegos, and there's prolly someone else or two that could be recruited, I'm sure.

Hey, I'll be in the same boat as you! Suffice to say, going to the local junior college won't be a big a change as what you'll be doing, I can get an idea of the workload you'll be experiencing. And hence, don't worry about it. Smile

College is a blast. Enjoy it for all it's worth. Among other things, Ellyndia's player and I met there, so it certainly had a huge impact on my life.

That being said, we found time to raid MC, BWL, AQ40, and Naxxramas while in school... ;D

Protip: It is *really* hard to read literary criticism while raiding (even as DPS). Get your homework done before raids, if possible. Smile

But yeah, college is awesome - at least it was for me.

First week of classes are over! Fun and exciting. Yes. So much.

However, I don't think I'm going to be able to continue raiding. It's not like I couldn't work things so that I could, but I'd be giving up time that I could spend doing things on campus in an actual real-world social setting. I could jump in again during winter break and such, but otherwise...

It's been fun guys! I'll toss potions in the guild bank when I can, but I'm out of the running for raiding.

That's not what I was hoping to hear, obviously, but I'm glad you're enjoying your college experience.

You've a place here if you ever want it back, and we'll definitely appreciate the consumables either way... The guild bank is somewhat less well-stocked in your absence. ;x
