An Introduction to Ellyndia. Empty
PostSubject: An Introduction to Ellyndia.   An Introduction to Ellyndia. EmptyTue Jun 24, 2008 10:18 pm

((Just a little IC introduction/background to the always-shrouded Ellyndia))

"He did what was best for his people," the blood elf says, her hooded head down, her feet resting on the table in front of her.

"That is a dangerous position to hold these days," the Forsaken hisses, his bony arm resting on the same table, across from the elf. "Kael'thas is denounced by everyone as being a traitor to Kil'Jaeden." He grins. "You are not cheering on a loser, I hope?"

The blood elf chuckles lowly as a gloved hand taps her hood. The soft glow from the halo seems to intensify for a moment. "I committed regicide, Lycanus. I hardly think a man who allows himself to be taken advantage of deserves to be followed."

The Forsaken, who wore the robes of an Apothecary, nodded slowly, making a mark on a piece of parchment. "That still doesn't explain your connection to the Illidari." His voice is low, threatening. Or maybe that was just the nature of the
Forsaken.

The blood elf woman sits up slowly, putting her feet to the floor. Her hood looks to the left and right slowly before facing Faranell. The inn is virtually empty.

"Understand my position, Apothecary. My king had fallen. Hordes and hordes of different resistance groups were falling before the might of Illidan. I needed someone to serve, someone who would remain on top, since I don't like to
lose. So yes, I swore my life to the Betrayer."

"Who then fell as well."

The blood elf priest sits up a little straighter. "Yes."

An awkward pause, as the Forsaken scribbled a bit more on a parchment, and the blood elf pulled at her gloves.

"Your allegiances are quick to change, Siresdel. Perhaps too quick." Lycanus leans back in his chair, his bones creaking painfully. "A dangerous woman, to let her whims and allegiances change like the passing wind."

The blood elf exhales very slowly. It is hard to see her expression for her hood. Otherwise her body remained tense and yet still, like a hare about to flee from a predator. "Are you done interrogating me for your Queen, Lycanus?"

Another scribble from the Apothecary as the Forsaken smiles for the first time - revealing a horribly decaying mouth. "Oh, soon to be *your* Queen, if all goes well." The Forsaken stands up, pushes his chair in, and bows gracefully to the blood elf. "We shall be in contact, Ms. Siresdel. Don't leave the city."

The blood elf puts her feet up as the Forsaken walks away. They both knew she could not leave. Too many people wanted her head.

***Later that night...***

They woke her up in the middle of the night from a restless sleep. For her it was disjarring, but for the Deathstalkers that pulled her out of her bed and escorted her, half dressed, to the foot of the Banshee Queen, it was normal business.

"Ellyndia Siresdel," Sylvannas Windrunner said to the prone blood elf. "We believe that you have knowledge that would benefit us and the Forsaken nation."

The blood elf holds her head - the Deathstalkers had knocked her around, and in the process given her a massive headache. She replied quietly, "How may I help ... my queen?"

The Dark Lady smirked and looked to her Dreadlord majordomo for a moment before looking down again. "You have seen things and been to places that many have not been. We need you to serve us, in your capacities as a priest, and using what you know to serve our ends."

The elf finally looked up at the banshee - only to have her head roughly pushed down by the Deathstalkers that flank her and kept her kneeling. "You are gracious to welcome me into your city, Dark La-"

"You are not welcome here, traitor." Her words are harsh. "You shall not be welcome nor trusted until you have proven your worth to us. Any attempts on my life or the life of any Forsaken will be met with a very *permanent* death."

"And what do you give me in return, my queen?"

Varimarthis growled, and as Sylvanas took a menacing step toward Ellyndia, one of the Deathstalkers pulled the blood elf's head upward, by grabbing a fistful of her red long hair. "Such audacity, my Queen," the dreadlord growls. "Give me the pleasure of killing her."

"No, no," the banshee queen said quietly, while she glares at Ellyndia. "You will recieve protection, and a clean slate, should you choose to comply. Should you decline our offer, we will dispose of you as the betrayer you are."

A deadly silence followed. Ellyndia gulped once. "I...accept, my Queen."

"Good. You will serve one of my loyal Forsaken, helping him as he requires." A gesture and the Deathstalkers let her stand up. As she cricked her neck she eyed a Forsaken, who had emerged from the shadows. He kneeled to his queen before facing Ellyndia.

"The name is Agrivain, blood elf," he said, as he bowed. "You follow my orders."

"Wonderful," she muttered, while looking around slowly, suddenly feeling very small.
